Overview

Willamette HDL delivers services and products to help language-based hardware design projects be more successful. Founded in 1993, WHDL has an extensive offering of technology training for UVM, SystemVerilog and Verilog. The company specializes in System Level Verification, and this is central to the training classes available from WHDL.

In 2016 WHDL entered into a strategic partnership with Hardent of Montreal Canada. Together, Hardent and WHDL offer a wide variety of training as well as design and verification services to customers across North America.

To provide systems & IC designers, verification engineers, and EDA companies with the training & other services to be successful.

Background

In February 1993 Mike Baird founded Sylvan Technology; a consulting services business focusing on top-down HDL methodology. The company was incorporated in May 1994 when Sylvan Technology Inc. expanded their services to include training, custom tool environments, development of custom models and HDL validation code.

In September 1996, the company changed its name to Willamette HDL, Inc. (WHDL). The new name reinforces the company's focus on language-based design methodologies, training, and validation.

Products

WHDL has an extensive offering of Verilog, SystemVerilog and UVM training that ranges from language introduction courses to advanced synthesis and verification. WHDL has taught over 5,500 students for hundreds of companies. Publicly scheduled classroom instruction and customized on-site training courses are available.
